For my own logo, I started by creating a mood board that featured a lot of my favorite things: my own personal (favorite) work, images that I felt like "felt" like me, as well as visual inspirations, which for me stem a lot from cartoons, anime, and overall eastern aesthetics.

When I came across the typeface for the Cartoon Network series Powerpuffgirls, I was drawn to the logo title’s sense of strength (power) being visually graphic and bold, while juxtaposed with colors and other embellishments that lent itself to being fun, bubbly, and “POP”.

Upon deciding to move forward with a standard letter “J” in a similar graphic style, I was reminded of a concept I had a long time ago during my time at university of having some sort of star with a literal tail. This comes from my last name, Mira, which has a star of the same name which is known for being the only non-shooting star with a “tail”.

That’s when I decided to combine the two concepts to create my current logo.
